Morgan State University Alumni Association Howard County Chapter (MSUAA HCC) offers a Bear Pride Scholarship to help with costs for next semester and the bonus is that the check is written directly to you, not the school. This means it will not affect your financial aid.
Applying for this scholarship will help you to afford the expenses of your next semester, ease the worry, and help you focus on finishing your education without delay or increasing your student loan debt.

Since 2023, we have invested more than $60,000 in Morgan Scholars, helping them cover critical educational expenses.

How do you qualify?
To qualify for the MSUAA Howard County Chapter (HCC) Bear Pride Scholarship, the following is required:

You must be a resident of Howard County.
-
You must be either an accepted:
-
Incoming MSU student,
-
Transfer student, or
-
A current MSU student.
-

You must complete your application by March 31st.

Letters of recommendation must be submitted by March 31st
Since 1990, the Morgan State University Alumni Association – Howard County Chapter (MSUAA-HCC) has awarded scholarships to Morgan State University students from Howard County, including legacy scholarships made possible through the generosity of private individual donors and corporate partners. Our goal is to provide financial assistance that helps students continue their education and succeed at Morgan.
Through the Bear Pride Scholarship, funds are paid directly to students. They may be used for tuition, books, housing, meals, or other educational expenses for the upcoming fall semester without affecting other financial aid.
How the Scholarship Program Is Funded
Each year, MSUAA-HCC raises funds through:

Corporate donors and community partners

Alumni contributions and chapter fundraising events, such as the
Let’s Give Something Back Campaign, Night at Toby’s Dinner Theater, and the Caribbean Day Party
These combined efforts expand our capacity to support Morgan Scholars from Howard County.
How the Scholarship Program Works

Students must submit their scholarship application by March 31.

The Scholarship Committee reviews applications and determines award amounts.

Recipients are honored at the MSUAA-HCC Scholarship Awards Dinner, held the first Monday in June.
